I have stayed here a few times and it is my go-to place when travelling through Upington. The guesthouse is situated on the banks of the Orange River and one can enjoy the pool overlooking the beautiful sunset. The rooms are great. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They have more than enough parking for overlanders and accessories, with power outlets available. The staff are very helpful and it is just a lovely place to stay.

The rooms are very clean. There’s a lot of attention to detail. There’s a mini kitchenette with a microwave and stocked mini bar. The rooms have both a shower and bath which are also very clean. Towels were changed daily. Room service cleaned really well and the laundry was always ready the same day. The Wi-Fi is very good and is around the whole property. Theres a variety of dstv channels. There’s safe and secure parking off the street. Lastly, the location is perfect especially if you need to get some things done. It’s close enough to the mall, airport (7 minute drive), government offices. (All within a 5 minute drive) The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They were friendly and professional at all times which makes you feel welcomed. They offer an airport shuttle service.

River Place Manor is in the perfect location, right on the river and set in lushous gardens. The rooms was very comfortable, everything was thought about and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Easy access to the airport.

Idyllic location overlooking Orange River. Not even 2 minutes drive from Engen One-Stop Upington, but an oasis of tranquility and extremely secure with 24-hour surveillance. Staff are phenomenal, always going the extra mile to accommodate guests. Beautiful infinity pool and manicured gardens, rooms are ultra luxurious. Secure oarking with car-fridge plug in options. My 5th visit - best stopover in Upington by far.

Ah, the joy of returning to this marvelous establishment! Our second stay proved to be nothing short of splendid, if not surpassing our previous experience. The rooms, oh so spacious and impeccably maintained, offered a sanctuary of comfort. Every desire was catered to with utmost care and attention. Oh, the views! They were nothing short of breathtaking, painting our days with pure serenity. Our taste buds danced with delight during our fantastic dinner at their exquisite restaurant, and the staff, oh-so-helpful, made our stay all the more memorable. Whenever we find ourselves in Upington, this is undeniably our go-to destination. Although we temporarily sought refuge elsewhere during a fully booked night, returning here was an absolute relief. Without a doubt, this remarkable haven offers the pinnacle of accommodation and experiences in Upington.

Breakfast was served with seating near windows looking out towards the Orange River. If I had wanted, I could have eaten outside closer to the river and the beautiful white roses that were being attended to for a wedding the coming weekend. The scent of roses filled the air. Of course, the breakfast equaled the best with many choices. Hot coffee for me, fresh bread and fruits plus a menu…I had an omelet one morning and eggs Benedict the next. Delicious. The staff really took care of me and I appreciated their consideration of my early arrival. The rooms are fabulous…the views are even better, but the staff was exemplary. I’m a repeat guest and I will return

The location is wonderful and the staff are fantastic. Really helpful, nice people who make one feel very at home and looked after. The room is well equiped with decent quality fittings, comfortable bed, nice linen. The bathroom is a reasonable size. It was clean. Nice breakfast with delicious sourdough bread on hand. Great coffee available. Very pleasant ambience in the dining room.

It is our favorite place to stay in Upington. It is always very neat and clean and very beautiful next to the Orange river with all the birds and water activities.

Location is idyllic, beautiful lush grounds on the banks of the Orange River. There are orchards and vineyards and ostriches and peacocks and sheep. Yet it is so centrally located just off the main route. Perfect stop-over for Kgalagadi. The staff are exceptional. Luxurious comfortable beds with beautiful linen, well stocked bar fridge and air-conditioning.
